RED OS

VK Cloud supports the installation of virtual machines with image support from the company RED OS.

The available editions of the operating system are displayed in the drop-down list Operating system when creating a VM through VK Cloud personal account.

RED OS is a completely domestic operating system, Linux distribution of RPM format. It is included in the register of Russian Software of the Ministry of Finance of Russia (No. 3751) and has a valid certificate of the FSTEC of Russia. Additional benefits:

• Complies with regulatory legal acts of market regulators.
• Has a full-fledged ecosystem of compatible solutions.
• Has tools for centralized management of IT infrastructure.
• Has an intuitive desktop interface and graphical environment.
• Accepted into the corpstandard of FOIV, ROIV and State Corporations.

The “Server” configuration has a Standard and Certified edition:

• The standard edition has the most recent and up-to-date set of packages.

• The certified edition is certified by the FSTEC of Russia. Possible scope of application:

  • ISOP (information system of the Prosecutor's office) up to and including Class II.
  • Automated process control system up to and including security class I.
  • GIS (state information systems) up to and including security class I.
  • ISPDn (personal data information system) up to and including the I level of security.
  • CII (critical information infrastructure) up to and including the I category of significance.

The “Server” configuration allows you to configure:

• mirror of the APM update repository;
• network download server;
• databases;
• monitoring system;
• proxy server;
• domain controller;
• web server;
• mail server;
• DNS, DHCP services;
• virtualization systems.

All editions of the “Server” configuration support architecture types:

• x86_64, i686,

• aarch64:

  • Raspberry Pi,
  • Baikal–M,
  • Kunpeng (Huawei Taishan).

• e2k (Elbrus).

Only one license can be assigned to one VM.
